Grapes of Wrath

The cool, foggy summer in San Francisco continues here well into September. I think it's been the coolest summer since the gang of us moved here in the late 90's. Earlier this week I thought I might be experiencing a little cabin fever. I now bitch about the weather AND George Bush every day. Earlier in the week, I heard a report that the wine makers in Napa are getting very nervous about the lack of warm weather. The guy being interviewed indicated that he is typically 65% harvested by this time and this year is now at 15% and praying. If the rain comes too soon, he says 2005 Napa Valley wines may be nearly a complete wash out.
